In 2004, Mark Abouzeid travelled to Lake Naivasha, the only fresh water lake in the Rift Valley. While the town surrounding is synonymous for the commercial slavery imposed by Tulip horticulture destined for Holland, an island in the middle reminded him of the garden of Eden.

The island is actually a peninsula connected to a tiny land bridge submerged in a few metres of water. No predators will cross, leaving the abundant herds to live without fear…even of man. I walked among them as Adam might have done. Nothing has ever felt so natural, so right.
